We love finding local walks, and this Curdridge To Durley circular walk is very close to us and we found it during the lockdown when we couldn’t travel far. But we have since walked this one many times together as it’s a beautiful walk.

Curdridge To Durley Circular Walk

We started off parking in the few parking spaces along Wangfield Lane, near the junction of Maddoxford Lane. It’s just before the road goes over the river.

Two people and a dog walk along a quiet, tree-lined country road on the Curdridge to Durley Circular Walk. Cars are parked ahead near a bend, whilst sunlight filters through partly cloudy skies, brightening the lush greenery on both sides.

At this junction, you then need to walk up Netherhill Lane towards the fields. You will see a marked sign for a footpath on the right-hand side, and it goes across the fields.

Three people walk down a quiet, tree-lined path on the Curdridge to Durley Circular Walk. Dense green foliage surrounds the narrow road, casting dappled shadows on the pavement. The scene is peaceful and inviting.

It is a stile, so not easily accessible and you must keep to the footpath, and follow the fence line along in a straight forwards direction.

Three people stand by a wooden stile with a Keep to Footpath sign, surrounded by lush green bushes and trees on the Curdridge to Durley Circular Walk on a sunny day in the countryside. A sunny rural landscape from the Curdridge to Durley Circular Walk, with a grassy path winding through open fields, bordered by a fence and tall trees on the right, under a blue sky with scattered white clouds.

Keep following the fields along, and go over the stiles.

A grassy path leads through a sunlit meadow towards trees under a partly cloudy blue sky on the Curdridge to Durley Circular Walk, with a wooden fence on the left and dense green forest in the background.

In the corner at the end you will see a wooded footpath gravel track. Follow this along until you get through the woodland

A narrow dirt path winds through a green forest with tall grass and leafy trees on both sides, bathed in natural sunlight—just one scenic stretch along the Curdridge to Durley Circular Walk.

You will get to a small road, this is the Durley end. We turned right out the end, and right again when we saw this footpath going over the river.

A dirt path winds through dense green foliage on the Curdridge to Durley Circular Walk, with a wooden fence on the left and metal rails on the right. A tree branch arches over the path leading to wooden steps, and part of a bicycle wheel is visible.

Cute little shallow stream here, be lovely in the summer.

A shallow, clear stream winds through dense, green vegetation and trees along the Curdridge to Durley Circular Walk, with white wildflowers growing on the banks under a bright, overcast sky.

Follow the footpath along, into the woods again.

A young girl stands on a leafy forest path surrounded by green trees and plants along the Curdridge to Durley Circular Walk. Another person is seen walking further back on the trail. The scene is lush and peaceful.

There is quite a few walks around here, but we went left of this gate and followed it along

A metal gate stands open on the Curdridge to Durley Circular Walk, surrounded by green trees and foliage. Two people walk in the distance along the dirt trail under the leafy canopy, with stickers visible on the wooden gatepost.

Through the woodlands and keeping to the footpaths again. It’s quite a well marked path

This then bought us out at another field with more stiles, and we kept following the pathway along, keeping to the marked ways

This was a large farmers’ field with a big herd of cows in.

You will then come out onto a gravel track and housing and businesses. Just walk on past these until you get to the main road

Turn right onto the main road, which is Wangfield Lane, follow it along and you will get back to the car. Cars can drive fast along this road, so be careful.
