Micheldever Woods is located just off the M3 and is owned by the Forestry Commission, it is a large beech wood with little paths and a small play area for the kids.

We chose to visit Micheldever Woods today because there is a stunning bluebell display, it’s one that gets featured in the news because the floor is awash with bluebells and it looks very pretty.

Sunlight filters through tall trees in a forest, casting dappled light on a lush carpet of bluebells and green foliage covering the forest floor. A narrow dirt path winds through the flowers.

This cute wood has a small car park which is situated off Northington Lane, however, as these bluebells have attracted so much attention this filled up very quickly and people were parking all down the lane. I would expect normally you can park easily.

Micheldever Woods is great for kids, as the circular walk was only 2km and had little paths to follow, a small play area and the longest balance bar we have ever seen! Apparently, it is the size of the tallest tree.

Two children play on a wooden treehouse slide structure in a forest, with tall green trees surrounding them. One child is sliding down whilst the other waits at the top.

There are other areas that we didn’t find either, it says there is a picnic area and archaeological areas to explore.

The kids had a lovely time exploring Micheldever Woods, it’s lovely to get some photos in the bluebells and a safe place for the children to run around.

A sunlit forest with tall, slender trees and fresh green leaves. The forest floor is covered in patches of small, blue wildflowers and lush greenery, creating a peaceful, natural scene.

It looks so pretty and despite the car park being full it looks like you found plenty of spots there you could enjoy to yourself. Our woods backing onto Coombe Mill are just days away from looking like this, I can’t wait to have a play with my big camera when they fully come out. Thank you for sharing with me on Country Kids.

Aww it looks so pretty!! We went to a castle the other day and there was a beautiful little bluebell field but there were no where near as many as here!

  3. Wow what a stunning spot – I love the blue haze you get from bluebells as far as the eye can see and that tree house looks fantastic – my girls would absolutely love it!
