Looking for an Easton To Abbots Worthy Circular Walk? Then check out ours, it was a beautiful walk with stunning scenery. A pleasant circular route which is great for walkers, you can even reward yourself with a pub lunch afterwards!
After we had a walk around Avington we spotted that were some more lovely walks in this area, and different routes to take.
Warning, this post is picture heavy as there were so many turns and paths to take, but hopefully gives you a good idea of the route!
We parked in a small layby along Avington Park Lane where the houses start and the village of Easton starts.
Walk down towards the village Eason and through it, past the Chestnut Horse pub on your right.
Follow the road right through the village to get to a large junction with a pub called The Cricketers Inn on your right. Look for this junction and road to take you along.
Walk along until you see the large Church on your right.
You will see a playing field with a footpath sign pointing into it. Here is a play area as well
Walk down into the corner, where you see a footpath taking you into another field.
Keep following this through the fields and along the footpath signs.
There was a small fork in the hedges, take the right hand side one.
You will come out to this car park in Long Walk, which you could park in for future walks from a different starting point.
Turn to your right where you see some more public footpaths, with a few routes on. We took the right hand one
Which did puzzle us when we walked into someones front garden! But they live here and do have a public footpath through the garden!! It was very beautiful
Just keep on following the footpaths, it’s well signposted for you.
You will come out at Mill Land in Abbots Worthy which is very very pretty and has a picture postcard area!
Take this marked footpath on the right hand side.
You will then end up on a fast main road with not much pavement, but this is for a very small time and has another footpath on your right to take across the fields again.
Head towards these gates and pathways, again very well marked.
When we visited there were crops in this field bigger than us!!
We followed the path until we got to a cow field, I don’t really like walking through the cows with a dog and 3 kids, but they were very accepting of us and let us go through!
Head towards the house and road, with a stile or gate.
Directly across the road is another marked footpath to follow.
Take it down towards this gate in the corner, and through here.
You come out into the village where you need to turn right towards the river. Here is another small car parking area you could start from.
Follow the paths along, through the river area and out into the fields.
Walk through this field straight forward until you get to the corner of the small fencing on your right, then turn right again.
You need to spot this gate in the corner of this field, this is the end and will bring you back out onto the road where the car is parked to the left.

How To Start Your Easton To Abbots Worthy Circular Walk
I have put a marker in the Avington Country Park Car Park as this is the closest proper car park, but we parked further along this road, and you could always park in the village more, or make a pub lunch out of it too.
