Looking for strawberry picking in Hampshire? Take a look at Pickwell Farm strawberry picking. With large open fields, plenty of parking and very tasty strawberries. Pickwell Farm is worth a strawberry picking visit!
Some childhood memories just stick with you don’t they, one of those strong memories for me is Strawberry picking. Where we live use to be covered in strawberry fields, over the years these have been built on, closed down and no longer around.
However we still do have a few around, and each year I have wanted to take the children off to give them the same memories that I had. However, I am embarrassed to say I hadn’t done it with them.
So when Pickwell Farm announced on their Facebook page that the fields were full of strawberries ready to be picked, we had a quiet weekend, so I was going, no matter what!

They really enjoyed this outing, I picked up 3 punnets so that they could each have the freedom to pick their own. Although that meant it was £10 worth of strawberries and half of them being frozen!!

Pickwell Farm is really large, so rows of strawberry plants haven’t got to the picking stage yet. This gave us the chance to have a chat with the kids about how they grow and what they look like before turning into a strawberry.

If you can, pop along to your local strawberry fields before it’s too late. The kids had a great time and spent the next day eating strawberries in everything!

Brings back memories!! My kids would love it too. If the weather picks up it’s on our list!! x
this is one of my favourite things to do with the kids each year. We grow our own too, so quite often we are just in our own garden picking them all up!
We have a potted strawberry plant which is giving up about 2-3 fruits in a week. But my son is asking if we can go to real pick your own site! I wish we can too especially after seeing this post. Looks so amazing in there and what a fun thing to do with kids! #whatevertheweather #mywildones
Looks like great fun. I havent taken the boys strawberry picking before. I will have to look into it. #whatevertheweather
It is amazing how things change. I am reading about strawberry farm and going there with my kids like going to mall. Back then we were picking from forest footpath.
We loved strawberry picking last year and can’t wait to go again this year. Looks like you all had fun x
Ahh I ‘m so glad you wrote this post, you’ve reminded me to go strawberry picking at our local farm – Copas Farm – it’s so much fun! My siblings and I were never taken fruit-picking as children, so it’s a new exciting experience for us 😀 xx
I love picking strawberries and it brings back so many happy memories of strawberry picking at local farms as a child. My boys can easily get through a punnet in one sitting, they are so greedy when it comes to berries! Your kids look very pleased with themselves too! Thanks so much for linking up to #Whatevertheweather x
Those are some impressive strawberries! We plan to go strawberry picking this year, the first time in about 10 years. You can beat PYO fruit.

This is one of my favourite childhood memories with my Grandad! I use to love going strawberry picking but unfortunately where we went has since shut down! Think I might Google and find another one now! I always use to put one in the basket and one in my mouth haha! #MyWildOnes
Looks great fun. It is a good job that you can freeze them!
I have so many lovely childhood memories of strawberry picking too. I’ve taken mine the past few years but not yet this year. If the weather holds I might try this weekend, your lovely photos have inspired me. Well done Tyler on the winning strawberry.
Thank you for sharing with me on #CountryKids
Everywhere there’s strawberry picking popping up. I need to find our local one.

Absolutely love this. Always wished we had a strawberry farm nearby to pick our own. Very jealous of all your beautiful strawberries
That’s definitely one thing for the kids bucket list. Looks like they are having so much fun. I am on the look as well as I want to take my daughter to the same hehehe.
You’ve just inspired me to go strawberry picking! We took Lamb last year and he loved it. Such a fun thing to do without spending too much money xx
